Alexander M. Koch has been creating experimental electronic/field recording based sounds for 25 years under various monikers, the most prolific of which has been Aois-Dubh. He has released albums on a variety of netlabels and individual tracks on a number of compilation albums, including the 2000 compilation Music for Furniture – Stage Two, 2001 compilation Bauhaus on the Autoplate netlabel, a 2013 split album, Álomország, with RNGMNN on the 1798 label based in Berlin, Germany, and more.
Other available recordings from the Aois-Dubh days include Tablet 4, gång på gång, and The Boys Who Met the Trolls in the Hedal Woods.
There are a number of unreleased Aois-Dubh albums, or albums that are no longer available anywhere, and work is being done to make many of those available.
Three albums that were released have been “lost.”
The artist has no copies of them. These are Session Knarkhora, Abnegation of all Geometry, and Henry Draper Sounds, which were all released via mp3.com in the early 2000s. If you have a copy please be in touch!
He is now releasing music as enstillhet (drone/dark ambient/other weirdness) and Exploding Tree Risk (noise). That music can be found here on bandcamp.
